One company that recognized this early on is HANS HALL. Sustainability is no longer just a trend: for many cable car operators and ski resorts, it has become a fundamental requirement for investment. But it's not only in energy or snow management that a company's commitment to the future becomes apparent – the greatest impact often lies in the details.
This means acting sustainably. Ecologically, economically, socially. The IHK Bodensee-Oberschwaben surveyed companies that are committed to sustainability far more than is legally required. What motivates them to do so? How do they position themselves as a company? How do transformation processes succeed, for example to reduce CO2 emissions? What do customers and consumers want? Claudia Bissinger is the sustainability officer at HANS HALL GmbH. As a participant in the KLIMAfit project, she was particularly impressed by the enormous impact of some measures.
Steel chains are a matter of personal preference – and ground conditions. "Little snow, lots of stones: An aluminum chain can also handle such surfaces, but it soon looks bad,” reports Hans Hall, managing director of the chain manufacturer of the same name.
In order to ensure the safety and quality of piste preparation in summer too, reliable and high-performance summer chains for piste groomers are essential. With smooth production at top speed and well-stocked warehouses, HANS HALL is able to meet the increasing demand for the chains specially developed for summer.
HANS HALL GmbH has been active as a supplier and partner in the Swiss ski areas since 1978. Its centrally located Rothenturm site is now becoming an independent business location and will operate as HANS HALL Schweiz AG. At the same time, the warehouse, which has been in use for around two years, has been further expanded.
The 75th anniversary of HANS HALL GmbH is not just a celebration of the company's history and past. The company's sustainable innovations also put the focus on its future. HANS HALL GmbH has been around for 75 years. The third generation has been producing track components and its own special tracks. The company's main product - the Excalibur track - celebrated its anniversary in 2023.
